GOLDEN EAGLES HOTSHOTS, Sycuan Indian Reservation

This page is a tribute to the Sycuan Fire Department where I served three fire seasons:

• 2001 Golden Eagles Handcrew
• 2002 Wildland Division Engine Crew
• 2003 Golden Eagles Hotshots Crew

The skills I acquired include Nationally Registered EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), fire-suppression techniques and tools. I also earned many academic units towards a Fire Science degree at Kumeyaay Community College, Sycuan Indian Reservation.

Each day I gained experience that will serve me in the future such as discipline, punctuality, time management, management of people, teamwork, performing calmly in high stress situations, and responsibility.

I would like to thank the Sycuan people for providing me with the environment and the opportunity for personal growth.
